The fluid flow state in the gasket plate heat exchanger can be divided into laminar flow and turbulent flow.

The heat transfer efficiency of this flow state is relatively low, because the molecular exchange of the fluid is relatively slow, and heat transfer is not easy to carry out.

In the turbulent state, when the fluid flows, the velocity is fast, the fluid particles are mixed with each other, forming a chaotic surge along the flow direction, and the velocity changes randomly at each position. The heat transfer efficiency of this flow state is relatively high, because the molecular exchange of the fluid is fast, and the heat transfer is easy to carry out.
In addition, the fluid flow state in the detachable plate heat exchanger will also be affected by many factors such as fluid phase, temperature, pressure, flow rate and so on. For example, when a hot fluid heats a cold fluid, the flow state of the hot fluid may change, from laminar flow to turbulent flow, or become chaotic. Similarly, the flow state of a cryogenic fluid may also change. This change in flow state will affect the heat transfer efficiency of the equipment.
